Forza Motorsport 6 was announced today for the Xbox One, coinciding with the announcement of Ford’s new GT supercar, which will be in the upcoming game thanks to an exclusive praetorship between Forza and the Ford Motor Company. The newly announced GT350 Mustang and F-150 Raptor will also be featured in Forza 6.
Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, said that it’s an honor for the company to share this “historic moment with Ford and celebrate the legacy of the GT,” by making the Ford made car Forza 6’s cover car. The game will give players an opportunity to “virtually experience” Ford’s lineup of performance automobiles.
While no release date was given for Forza Motorsport 6, the creative director at Turn 10 Studios, Dan Greenawalt, said that Forza 6 gameplay will be unveiled at this year’s E3 in June.
