Evolve, an upcoming co-op shooter under development by Turtle Rock, has recently gone gold which means the game is now complete and has been sent to manufacturing. The news coincided with a brand new intro cinematic for the title that can be seen below:

The 2K merchandise store has also been updated to include the Evolve open beta, which begins next week exclusively on Xbox One, and Evolve mercy.

Members of Turtle Rock also got to shave their beards today! Are you wondering if you just read that right? Yes, yes you did. Many employees working on the game pledged to not shave their beards nor cut their hair until the game reached certification. Now that they’ve obviously met that goal, the total length of hair cut was 227.5 inches! Turtle Rock donated $50 to Child’s Play for every inch, which amounted to a total donation of $11,375.
