Activision has announced that an “innovative” new Skylanders game is currently being developed to be released later in 2015. It comes as no surprise that developers Vicarious Visions would be at work on a new entry to the series, since it has also been confirmed that last years outing – Skylanders Trap Team – was the #1 top-selling kids game globally, meaning that demand is undoubtedly high for a new Skylanders game.
As for the toys themselves, over 240 million of these have been sold worldwide since the series launched in 2011, thus generating over $3billion in sales revenue.
