In an interview with Famitsu (via Gematsu), Hajime Tabata, the director on Final Fantasy XV, said that the game may feature female guest characters who will join the game’s all-male party and that this may even affect the way the male members behave.
“It’s possible we’ll have female characters join the party as guests.” Tabata said. “But since it’s an all-male party, when you have a female character as a guest, their behavior might change because a woman is around.”
Furthermore, when asked about player’s requests for improvements to the game’s battle system, Tabata said the system in the Episode Duscae demo is only about half-complete. “The full retail version will have things like magic and co-op chains, which I feel will really freshen up how players approach combat.” Said Tabata.
