The release of Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward is getting closer and closer. Ahead of the release, Square Enix has released the Benchmark for Heavensward.

Players can download the Heavensward Benchmark here. This will allow players to check to see if their PC setup will be able to run the upcoming expansion. It will allow gamers to try out the DirectX 11 graphics. They will also be able to use the character creator to create new characters, including some of the new playable race, the Au Ra.

Square Enix also released a Benchmark trailer (seen below), showing off some of the game. We get to see the three new playable classes, the Dark Knight, Machinist, and Astrologian. We also get to see new areas and dungeons, including a glimpse of Alexander. Also shown are the new mounts, which include single-rider airships, dragons, and black chocobos. We also see the game’s new playable race, the Au Ra.

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward will feature a new story in which players find themselves in the heart of the Dragonsong War, a thousand-year conflict between the knights of Ishgard and the dragons of Dravania. The level cap will be raised from fifty to sixty, and the game will feature new primal battles. Alexander will be the next raid similar to The Binding Coil of Bahamut, and will come with normal and hard modes.

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward will release on June 23rd. Those who preorder the game will have early access, which begins on June 19th.
