Pushed as a movement to promote tabletop games; which include card games, board games, dice games and the like, Wil Wheaton and the crew at Geek & Sundry has been pushing “International Tabletop Day” every year for the last 2 years. Today, April 11th, 2015 is the designated day for this year.

On this day; numerous tabletop fans will meet up at certain locations to meet fellow fans to play games with each other in various places. If you’d like to know if there’s a location near you, check out this site!

There is also extra incentive to come to certain places like Game shops because some will be having exclusive promotional tabletop games and items to obtain. The various game companies that have sponsored this event has provided a neat expensive kit. If you were one of the lucky few who found out about the promotion earlier, you could discuss with the people at your local Game shops and buy the promo kits. For an idea of what is included in this kit; here’s a quick run down and a video:

I’ve had a renaissance for tabletop recently through a meeting with a good friend at PAX; and he’s got me hooked into the amazingly fun games you can have! I’m very excited to participate in some events later today!

Don’t be afraid to get out there and give it a go if you’re out and about! Have a blast and play more games!
