Putting a swift and unquestionable end to the rumors and vague confirmations, Konami has finally pulled the plug, officially, on the Norman Reedus led, Guillermo Del Toro directed, Silent Hills. Following the removal of the game’s teaser demo, P.T. from online stores, and a series of tweets from Reedus and Del Toro, it was pretty clear the game was dead, but now there is no doubt.

In a statement to Kotaku, Konami said, “Konami is committed to new Silent Hill titles, however the embryonic ‘Silent Hills’ project developed with Guillermo del Toro and featuring the likeness of Norman Reedus will not be continued… In terms of Kojima and Del Toro being involved, discussions on future Silent Hill projects are currently underway, and please stay tuned for further announcements.”

And of course, for all those announcements, make sure to check back here on Gamespresso. For now however, today is a sad day for horror fans. What are your thoughts about the cancelation? Let us know in the comments.
