When the NBA 2K14 servers shut down last week on March 31, people were already upset. But players were promised that their single player saves would not be harmed, they would just be transferred to offline saves. This is not the case, as everyone’s hard work in MyCareer and MyGM modes has been completely wiped with the server shut down. People are furious.

“If you had created a MyCareer or a MyGM online save file that was once connected to our servers it too sadly has retired and is no longer available for use and it would be necessary to re-create these files as offline saves,” said a 2K support rep.

“Sadly this may come as an inconvenience to some of you and if so we truly do understand and can feel for how upsetting this may seem as there always is a special bond that occurs between a player and their MyCareer save but all good things must come to an end and rest assured your MyCareer or MyGM went out while on top!”

But what if it didn’t? What if you were in the Game 7 of the NBA Finals on an 80 hour journey in MyCareer mode and suddenly everything was erased? Yeah, I would be mad too. Let us know how you feel and if you were affected in the comments below.
