Every amiibo announcement warms your heart, but hurts your wallet.

During the Nintendo Direct, Saturo Iwata revealed the next few waves of amiibo that would be coming to retailers.

Wave 4, announced for a May release date, will now include previously rumored Greninja and Jigglypuff amiibo, added to the release of previously announced Wario, Charizard, Robin, Lucina, Ness, and Pac-Man.

Wave 5, arriving in July, will contain Dark Pitt and Palutena.

Wave 6, arriving in September, will bring Olimar, Bowser Jr, Dr. Mario, Zero Suit Samus, and Ganondorf.

Last, but not least, Yarn Yoshi will arrive agonizingly late sometime in the fall.

Splatoon will also be receiving their own line of amiibo, launching May 29 alongside the game, featuring inkling girl, inkling boy, and the inkling squid in a three-pack.

No pre-order details were given, but Iwata mentioned, “We will be releasing a number of amiibo exclusively through retail partners.”
