Jonas Mattson, senior environment artist on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, revealed that CD Projeckt Red’s upcoming action RPG would have minimal loading times.

In an interview with GameSpot, Mattson explained that players would experience no loading times while exploring the game’s open world, only when players start playing the game, die, or fast travel.

“One of the goals we had was to keep the experience as fluid as possible,”  Mattson said.  “When you play, you don’t want to have the loading screen because it takes you out of the game a bit. We wanted to make sure that it was as smooth as possible, one big experience.”

CD Projekt Red recently announced that The Witcher 3 has gone gold, preparing to be packaged for distribution.  The game is coming May 19 to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
