Sony marketed the PlayStation 4 saying “greatness awaits” and developer DICE apparently is done waiting.

Star Wars: Battlefront was revealed just a few weeks ago, and fans were immediately stunned by the graphical quality shown in the early trailers of the game. Developer Sigurlína Ingvarsdóttir has revealed the footage was taken from a PlayStation 4 and has given much credit to the power of the system,

“As I think our gameplay video shows…We’re really able to get the maximum out of the hardware, and really able to sort of harness that power,” Ingvarsdóttir said in a recent episode of the PlayStation Blogcast.

Ingvarsdóttir also said the team at DICE has come a long way since its first release on the “next-gen” consoles when they developed Battlefield 4 at launch.

“This is DICE’s second game out on the next-gen consoles and out on PS4. We learned a lot on the previous title, Battlefield 4, and now we’re at the place that we feel like we’re getting more familiar with the hardware.”

He went on praising Sony and PlayStation by saying, “We’re getting better results, we’re having a good collaboration with the engineers at Sony.” This comes at little surprise as Sony seems to have control over the marketing with Electronic Arts for Star Wars: Battlefront, which comes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 17.

Will you be picking up Star Wars: Battlefront on PlayStation 4 when it arrives?
