The creators of the Gauntlet reboot are promising big changes to the game because they aren’t happy with it. Arrowhead Game Studios developed the reboot which was released last year in September and are now deciding to make major modifications to the game as they were never particularly happy with the end result. The games director, Emil Englund, posted an update on the website for Gauntlet explaining the situation.

The update explains that they were never happy with Gauntlet so they’ve decided to make major modifications to get the game to the standard they want it at. This is no problem to anyone who already has the game as the changes will come in free updates and will include updates to main Campaign, the Colosseum and they will even be adding a brand new gamemode to the game.

In truth, we were never fully satisfied with how Gauntlet turned out. So, rather than just fixing little things here and there, we have been working on the core of the game to turn it into what we originally envisioned.

At the moment they can not reveal too much information on the modifications or the new gamemode however they will be providing teasers and more information in the coming months.

Also, Arrowhead Game Studios will be taking over management of the games’  online communities and are offering fans the chance to contact them with questions if needed.

Gauntlet is currently only available for Windows PC and was released in September last year; it received positive reviews upon release and it will be interesting to see what changes they will make to the game to fulfill their vision of the game.

What do you think about the Gauntlet reboot getting some major changes?
