At an EA investor’s call, it was revealed that about 80% of Battlefield: Hardline’s sales were on the PS4 and Xbox One, blowing last generation consoles out of the water.

“Illustrating how far the transition has already come, approximately four out of every five copies of Battlefield Hardline sold for consoles that were either Xbox One or PlayStation 4,” said EA CFO Blake Jorgensen

With games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and upcoming EA game Star Wars Battlefront stating they will not release on last generation, their argument now seems completely logical. Is the time for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 releases over? Is the transition into current generation consoles in full swing? I guess we will find out.
