Blizzard has acknowledged in their blog that they know their European servers for Hearthstone haven’t been too great recently and there’s been a lot of connection issues.

We know access to Hearthstone in Europe was spotty last week. Sorry about that, and we really appreciate your patience as we worked to get the tavern back into shape.

As a way to say sorry to the EU players, Blizzard has given out two free classic card packs to each user providing the account was made before May 3rd, around when the issues began. It could take up to 24 hours for the packs to appear in users accounts however they should all be available now; don’t panic if you are unable to log into Hearthstone for some time as these packs will never expire and you can open them at any time.

Though the connection issues have been a pain to deal with the Hearthstone community is thankful to Blizzard for apologizing and gifting the card packs; despite the issue it’s a nice gesture to make.

The free card packs are accessible in the usual way though the “Open Packs” section and work the same as bought packs including a minimum of one rare rank card or higher.

In other Hearthstone news if you are not yet aware of Blackrock Mountain: The Hidden Laboratory and have the Blackrock Mountain expansion then you should probably go play it; the area opened at the start of this month.

Were you affected by the Hearthstone connection issues? Remember to open your free packs EU players and see if you’ve got that one card you’be been wanting!
