Developed by the creators of Left 4 Dead, Turtle Rock Studios, Evolve has gone on to become a massive success for both them and their publisher Take-Two. The 4v1 monster-hunting game has now shipped more than 2.5 million copies.
What’s more interesting is that more than 20% of all Evolve copies sold were digital versions of the game, publisher Take-Two Interactive said during an earnings call this afternoon. The CEO of the publisher, Strauss Zelnick, also revealed that they’ll be supporting the game with even more future DLC.
This is a “key long-term franchise for 2K” Zelnick said. They plan to continue support for Evolve throughout the year with new game modes, characters, and more.
