FIFA has been big in the news this week, mostly due to corruption, but in gaming news as well. EA Sports announced earlier this week that for the first time in the series, women’s teams will be available to use. Adding on to this today, EA has announced that the game will be available on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC.

Last year, FIFA 15 was available on handhelds PS Vita and 3DS. They are going away from that this year and it doesn’t appear to be arriving on Wii U at all. This will make it the first time since 2000 that the soccer franchise will not appear on a Nintendo platform.

“With regards to FIFA 16 there isn’t a Vita or 3DS version,” an EA representative told PocketGamer. “We don’t have any further detail on the mobile version but will be sure to share with you when we hear more.”

So, FIFA is changing the formula this year. Is this for better or worse? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to Gamespresso for all of you FIFA news.
