Sega of America is saying that it is going to have to remove some older mobile games from Android and iOS app stores because they have ceased to meet the quality that a lot of modern players have come to expect from them.  Though they have stated that there will be games that are going to be removed, Sega still has yet to say which games are to be removed from the mobile market.

The news was released on the company’s official blog, stating that “It is important for us to ensure that all of our fans, regardless of platform or operating system, have a great playing experience and after evaluating our complete list of titles, we have determined that a number of them no longer meet our standards.”

While these unnamed titles are to be removed, Sega has also stated that some of them may return to players “in an updated form.”  According to what they say, players who have already purchased a removed game will still be able to play this game until they become “incompatible with the latest phone OS or hardware.”

Well, what games do the people of Sega deem to not be up to par?  I suppose mobile-gamers (myself included) will have to wait and see.
