With the announcement of Xbox One’s upcoming backwards compatibility at E3, more and more details are beginning to surface about the program.

Microsoft has already confirmed that it is up to the developers whether they want to opt in or not. If they choose to opt in – and you own the game on the 360 – you’ll be able to access the game on the Xbox One sometime after Holiday 2015.

Microsoft confirmed via Twitter that the DLC will be transferred over, so long as the developers opt in for that feature as well. Cloud saves, and achievements will also be transferring over. If the 360 game is multiplayer and the servers are still up, it will still be accessible.

Although the backwards compatibility would of been nice to have at launch, unless you sold off your either 360 collection you’re still in luck. And even then, most games are under $20 by now at your local game store.
