3D realms, the company behind Duke Nukem, and developer, Interceptor, have released the E3 trailer for Bombshell.  Come and check it out below.

Bombshell is an upcoming top down RPG that features fast paced destruction and a very obviously inspired Duke Nukem-esque style to it.

The game was originally conceived as the next Duke Nukem game, Duke Nukem: Mass Destruction.  However after a lawsuit from Gearbox Software, who held the rights to the titular character at the time, Interceptor put the brakes on their game and eventually set it rolling again with the new title of Bombshell.

In Bombshell the character takes on the role of Shelly, who lost her arm during a failed disarming of an alien bomb.  Since then she was removed from her position at the Global Defense Force, and left.  Now she’s back, with a kickass robot arm and a set of skills that’d make Duke proud.

This is the latest we’ve seen of Bombshell since March, and hopefully it won’t be the last.

Bombshell will be released on the Playstation 4, PC and Xbox One systems in 2015.  People hoping to get a taste of the game will be able to do so at QuakeCon, being held in Dallas, Texas, in July.
