Blizzard Entertainment has announced it will be following in the footsteps of Microsoft and EA by holding a Gamescom briefing in early August in Germany. The expected date for this briefing is August 5th. As of right now, we do not know whether or not live streaming will be available. Unfortunately even if it is, it will be at 3 AM PDT due to the vast time difference.
This is following Blizzard’s recent announcement of The Grand Tournament expansion for Hearthstone. Remember also that in Gamescom of 2013 Diablo III’s Reaper of Souls expansion was revealed, so there is definitely a possibility of another large announcement.
In addition to the possibility of a large scale announcement, Blizzard will have booths where fans can play Overwatch, Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void, Heroes of the Storm, Hearthstone and of course World of Warcraft.
