The sequel to the 2009 mobile game, Angry Birds, has been announced and a release date given. Rovio Entertainment, the developers of the series, made the announcement earlier today.
Despite the numerous entries into the Angry Birds story, Angry Birds 2 is the official sequel. The game will be released on July 30th and will be the first fully fledged sequel in the series. More information has been promised in July.
Angry Birds has seen many spin offs, including but not limited to, a Angry Birds Star Wars, Bad Piggies, as well as an animated movie starring Peter Dinklage.
As of this moment we’re unsure what platforms the game will be released on. The original found its way to iOS, Android, and saw console releases on the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and more.
