It’s the end of the week, and that means Xûr has come to offer some exotic gear to Guardians. This week, he’s in the Vestian Outpost, to the right of where you first spawn. He seems to have brought some pretty good gear with him – let’s see what he has!
Titans can purchase the No Backup Plans gauntlets for 13 Strange coins. These gauntlets come with 369/402 Defense, +36/42 Light, and +97/103 Strength. The perks increase the duration of Force Barrier, increase melee attack speed, and increase the reload speed with Special Weapons.
For Hunters, the Knucklehead Radar helmet is available for 13 Strange coins, coming with a 451/491 Defense rating, +36/42 Light, and +100/106 Strength. This helmet’s got a pretty cool perk: your radar will remain visible when aiming Primary weapons, which can definitely come in handy in a variety of situations. The other perks are useful as well, restoring melee energy with grenade hits and allow you to gain more super energy from non-Guardian kills.
Warlocks can get the Claws of Ahamkara gauntlets, also for 13 Strange coins. These come with a 369/402 Defense level, +36/42 Light, +55/58 Discipline, and +64/68 Strength. The perks on these gauntlets are pretty good, allowing you to gain an addition charge for all Warlock melees, increase the reload speed of Special weapons, and increase melee attack speed.
As for the exotic weapon, Xûr brought the SUROS Regime auto rifle this week, available for 23 Strange coins. This is a pretty good weapon, even after the nerf of all auto rifles in Destiny. It’s special perks grant a chance to return health when dealing damage with the bottom half of the magazine, and the fire rate slows when aiming down sights, but with increased damage. If you don’t have this in your collection, it would be a nice addition!
In addition to those, Xûr’s also got an exotic shard, an exotic helmet engram, and his usual weapon telemetries and Sparrow upgrades. If you want any of this gear, go find him before he’s gone!
