Minecraft’s new DLC is turning more heads than Hades’ Cerberus! Prepare for some SHOCKINGLY bad puns.

Ever wanted to be a god in Minecraft? And I don’t mean just enabling god mode and flying about! Mojang have released a new DLC for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 & PlayStation 4. The new DLC costs $4 right now and for that you get a custom texture set, a new UI (User Interface), an original soundtrack composed by Gareth Coker & 39 Greek mythology themed character skins.

Gareth Coker’s most recent work and what you will most likely know him from is the soundtrack of Ori and the Blind Forest, however he’s worked on films such as What To Bring To America & Recoil. With both Ori & Minecraft under his belt I can’t wait to see what he works on next.

Included with the DLC is, like stated above, 39 Greek mythology themed characters such as: Medusa, Helen of Troy,  Zeus, Cyclops & more!

“Build a pantheon fit for the gods, trap the Minotaur in an elaborate maze, or set sail for adventures across the sea–the world is your square oyster!” Mojang stated.

I bought this as you were writing it, i think XD

    • I’m so shocked… xD

  • Jack XD

I blame Microsoft for this… charging for something that you’ve been able to do on PC for free for years… although the original soundtrack sounds nice :p

    • Can only hope to see where it goes, Minecraft’s made Microsoft a LOT of money since they bought it for $2.5m.
