Microsoft is hosting a special Halo 5: Guardians panel during the pop culture show, spilling more secrets on Master Chief’s involvement in the story for this next installment to the Halo series.

It’s listed on the official event schedule as ‘Hunt for the Truth: Following the Trail of the Halo 5: Guardians Story’ and lasts an hour, 10:15 – 11:15am on Friday July 10th.

The panel’s description goes on to say that it ‘will bring new insight into the mysteries surrounding the Master Chief and build connections between the stories that have been told so far, and sneak peeks of the stories yet to be told in game and beyond.’

It will be followed by a Q&A session with 343 Industries developers and ‘special guests’, who are going to be discussing the story and answering your questions.

With Steven Spielberg still developing a TV show based around Microsoft’s Halo, words like ‘beyond’ kind of get me excited. Does this mean that we’re getting more information on the show at Comic Con? A cast, maybe even some clips? We’ll know next week, I guess.

There’s so much to look forward to regarding Halo 5: Guardians; Microsoft won’t give us a moment to catch our breath, as they just recently announced the new epic-scale multiplayer mode ‘Warzone’.  The October 27th release date with, of course, Xbox One exclusivity cannot come soon enough.

All of my excitement and hype for Halo 5: Guardians died when they announced they were axing the split-screen options from the game. I know a lot of people never even used this mode and that’s fine for them, but i’ve played every Halo with my best friend sitting beside me. Sharing the thrills, hi-fiving after the victories, and poking fun at one another when we fail is a good chunk of the fun. Without it, I just don’t even want to play the game anymore.
