2K Games have announced that retired notrious pro-wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin will be the cover of the newest WWE game, WWE 2K16. His real name is Steve Austin, but I’m going to keep calling him by the name wrestling fans, like myself, know him by. Stone Cold spoke to MTV UK about his apperance as the cover star.

He said he is “very honored to be the cover star.” He went on to say “Being asked got me thinking, and I guess I kind of started looking back at all the things I managed to accomplish in the business. But I think it was testament to a very deep locker room in one the best eras in the business. All these years later, it is very special and I’m very proud and I was very happy to get the phone call to be the cover star of such a highly regarded video games franchise.” Stone Cold, being the typical Stone Cold we all love him for, said that he can’t wait to disrupt the way the games have been going, stating “No disrespect to the previous and extremely deserving WWE 2K cover Superstars–Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and John Cena–but it’s about time the franchise raised some hell with yours truly on the cover. I look forward to injecting a dose of ‘Texas Rattlesnake’ into this year’s game and overall campaign.”

According to 2K, WWE 2K16 will have the largest cast of playable wrestlers of any games in the series, with over 120 different characters. The game will launch on October 27 for both this gen and last, being for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. I love the wrestling games, being a huge fan of WWE myself. I miss the Attitude Era, and the return of a friendly face from that time is a welcome addition in my book.
