It has been awhile since we’ve heard anything about Tekken X Street Fighter. The game was announced at the San Diego Comic-Con convention all the way back in 2010. At the 5 year anniversary during this year’s Comic-Con, some light was shed on the project.

Tekken X Street Fighter’s producer, Katsuhiro Harada, assured fans that the game was actually far along in development in an interview Famitsu that was translated by Siliconera. “It might seem like we haven’t started on it at all, but the character lineup has been decided upon since a very long time ago,” Harada stated. “And we’ve already finished the polygon models, moves, and systems.”

It seems like with Namco and Capcom working on new titles like Tekken 7 and Street Fighter 5, marketing is most likely the issue here. Trying to find a good time in which to promote the game around other fighters can be a challenge. Hopefully it will not be another 5 years before we get more news on Tekken X Street Fighter.
