Deep Silver and developer inXile announced today that Wasteland 2 would launch on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 13th 2015.  The final version that will be released will be the “Director’s Cut” version.

The Director’s Cut version of Wasteland 2 boasts a boat load of improved features for the game.  Textures and models have been overhauled to be given a completely new looking style.  The lighting system has also been tweaked along with thousands of new lines of dialogue being added for the console release.

Wasteland 2 was originally released on the PC in 2014.

Gameplay wise the game has been improved further for its console release.  The UI has been greatly improved and controller support has been made a key feature for the console, obviously.  inXile have also added in new “Precision Strike” and “Perk & Traits” systems to further improve the gameplay for all of their fans.

PC gamers can pick up these incredible improvements with the free Game of the year upgrade for Wasteland 2.
