One of legendary Nintendo designer Shigeru Miyamoto’s recent projects has been delayed.

Project Giant Robot was originally shown at the 2014 E3 and was thought to have a release date for the first half of 2015. The first half of 2015 passed back on June 30th and Nintendo has not released any explanation for the setback.

Project Giant Robot allows for players to create their own towering machines and battle rival robots. The objective of the game is to topple your opponent’s robot. The game is said to showcase some of the Wii U Gamepad’s unique capabilities.

For now there is no replacement release date, but there is still hope for the second half of 2015.

  • i guess nintendo have too many projects to make wii u worh it at the end, even it still continue after the nx is launch.

  • justsaying

Nintendo needs to get there shit together. The problem with the Wii U is nobody has even given it a try. And that has caused low 3rd party support. The games that are out for it are some of the best games nobody has ever heard of. I never see or can remember seeing any commercials for any of the games. The only reason I “found” Splatoon was because of a friend who was gifted a copy on his birthday. You can have the best games in the world but nobody will want what they have never heard of.
