The Kickstarted and highly anticipated platformer Mighty No. 9 has been quietly delayed till 2016. Game Informer picked up the quiet delay because their parent company, GameStop, had given them information that retailers have been given 2016 listings for the game.

During the time of the stealth delay, Red Ash, Comcept’s other major project, was in the final days of its Kickstarter campaign, which may explain the quiet delay, but that is pure speculation.

Comcept, the developer of Mighty No. 9, as well as Deep Silver, the publisher, have refused to comment on the delay. The original release date promised by the Kickstarter campaign was April 2015, and would be available across ten systems: Wii U, 3DS, PS4, PS3, PSVita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, Mac, and Linux.
