Capcom have finally announced a new set of dates for the promised re-started Street Fighter V beta tests.

Capcom have said the beta will commence worldwide on August 28th. Testing begins at 4PM PDT / 7PM EDT. It will run through until ending on September 2nd at 7AM PDT/ 10AM EDT.

Alongside this they gave a statement confirming that they believe there shouldn’t be any problems or closures outside of those already planned; the full statement can be found below.

“Outside of the servers being shut down for periodic maintenance, we expect everything to run continuously throughout the entire five-day beta period.”

Should players run into trouble, Capcom have recommended players “follow @SFVServer on Twitter for the latest updates” to look for scheduled maintenance or flagged problems.

Capcom also gave some minor tips to ensure an optimum beta experience. They recommended that players:

  • Use a wired connection where possible, as Wi-Fi provides less stable speeds
  • Avoid multiple tasks on the same broadband such as downloading or streaming, as this limits bandwidth available for your game thus slowing the connection.

If you can’t wait to jump into the Street Fighter V beta later this week, you can guarantee yourself a spot by pre-ordering the game.

The Street Fighter V beta launched back in July for all PS4 owners who had pre-ordered but were taken down for a period of “extended maintenance.”
