Disney’s D23 event in California had a slew of their toys-to-life game Disney Infinity related announcements today. This includes a major announcement involving an upcoming play set based on the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie.
Two of the characters included in the set are Finn and Rey, who have recently been the subject of promotional materials for the movie. The actors playing those characters appeared onstage for the announcement. John Boyega (Finn) revealed that he is “a big gamer, so it’s an honor to be part of this game.”
Other announcements related to Disney Infinity include:
- Marvel Battlegrounds play set coming March 2016
- Hulkbuster and Ultron Disney Infinity figures will be released
- Spot from The Good Dinosaur, Judy and Nick from Zootopia, and Peter Pan are newly confirmed as characters for the game
- This year’s Ultimate Unlock will be Sora’s Keyblade from Kingdom Hearts III
