Exited followers of the recently announced Mafia 3 might be interested to know that videogame retailer GameStop has listed Mafia 3 on its website in true hypetown fashion. What is peculiar about this is that GameStop have also given it a release date of 26th April 2016.
The credibility of the release date however is up in the air. After being announced not weeks ago at Gamescom 2015, the mention on GameSpot’s website is either false information or a massive screw up. As far as I have found, and other news sites, only GameStop is showing this release date at the moment.
The third entry in the series is being developed by Hangar 13, a development studio made up of former 2K Czech developers who had previously worked on Mafia and Mafia 2. Mafia 3 will be hitting PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in 2016. Whether it’s the 26th August or not, we don’t know.
