At Disney’s D23 event today, Square Enix announced that Baymax from Big Hero 6 will make an appearance in Kingdom Hearts III and players will get the chance to explore the Big Hero 6 inspired world. It was also revealed that the antagonist in the game has in fact, turned Baymax from the big lovable character we all know and love, into a darker, heartless character.
The D23 panel then went on to say that the events Kingdom Hearts III will take place after the events in Big Hero 6. For Square Enix, this is a great crossover opportunity that will attract newer and younger fans while still entertaining the hardcore Kingdom Hearts fans.
After the debut announcement of the game at 2013 E3, there is still no solid timetable for the release but it will be released for Xbox One and PS4.
