Thanks to Hearthstone’s latest expansion, The Grand Tournament, players of the massively successful, free-to-play collectible card game Mondays are about to get a whole lot better.
Blizzard’s official Twitter account has cited the release date they already confirmed as being today, but more specifically announced that players should expect the expansion to unlock today sometime around 11 AM PDT / 2 PM EDT / 7 PM UK.
As Gamespresso has already detailed, The Grand Tournament adds 132 brand new cards to the Hearthstone powerhouse. Players can look forward to playing with even more of the “finest of Azeroth’s knights and champions” than they could in this week’s Tavern Brawl taster.
The expansion not only adds brand new cards both neutral and class-exclusive, but also brings with it the new “Joust” and “Inspire” mechanics that are set to shake up the meta-game and will undoubtedly see great changes to everyone’s decks over the coming months in time for the next round of tournaments.
With Blizzard recently claiming they can support Hearthstone with more expansions like The Grand Tournament for another 10-20 years and after it brings them $20 million every month, its safe to say everyone should be excited for all the cards we’ll be able to craft, earn in Arena or simply buy in just a few short hours.
