Titanfall7

On Wednesday, Nexon Korea, a division of the free-to-play gaming giant Nexon, announced they have reached a deal with Electronics Arts to develop a “PC online version” of their hit game Titanfall which will only launch in Asia.

In a statement Nexon CEO Owen Mahoney said, “We look forward to working with the talented teams at Respawn and EA and leveraging Nexon’s free-to-play expertise to deliver a new and engaging online game based on Titanfall to the Asian market.”

Although additional details are minimal at this time, going off what has been released, Nexon’s background in game development and the nature of the original game, one can assume it will be a free-to-play version of the FPS game with new elements to keep it fresh and exciting, but that is yet to be seen.

Respawn is currently working on Titanfall 2 which is to be published by EA. Although a date has not been released, it is expected to launch late 2016/early 2017.
