2K Sports just released a new trailer for NBA 2K16 entitled “The Living World” which showcases how the developer is trying to create the most authentic basketball game ever made. In the trailer, developers Mike Wang, Scott O-Gallagher, and Jerson Sapida cover some of the new mechanics featured in the game.

They highlight new physics in player-to-player collisions and foot planting technology that authenticates movement around the floor. They completely overhauled the post system and now have three dedicated pass buttons. Basketball strategies are a big deal to 2K Sports and they highlighted everything from big picture changes to coaches with dynamic coaching strategies to smaller changes in situational player movement. There is also a lot of new gameplay footage featured in “The Living World” trailer which can be seen below.

2K Sports has completely overhauled the MyCareer mode for NBA 2K16 and signed on Spike Lee to direct that portion of the game. 2K Sports also hinted that college teams might play a part in the career mode.

NBA 2K16 releases Tuesday, September 29th on the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC systems. Those who pre-order the game will get early access to NBA 2K16 four days earlier on Friday, September 25th.
