CD Projekt Red has announced that more romance options will be fleshed out in an upcoming patch for the Witcher 3, after some fans felt the love triangle between Geralt, Yennefer and Triss felt restrictive.

The developer for the hit open world game, which recently hit 6 million copies sold worldwide, has said that the decision to include more in depth romance options in the upcoming patch was a result of fan feedback, after some complained that the game punished those for choosing Triss as a romantic partner over Yennefer.

“We’ll be adding some additional dialogue for Triss and Yennefer in the upcoming patch due to fan feedback” CD Projekt Red told Kotaku. “We’ve read many opinions on our forums where gamers weren’t satisfied with the way their romance choices were fleshed out, so we wanted to change that by adding some extra conversational options.”

While a release date for the patch has not yet been announced, the developer recently stated that the Witcher 3’s upcoming expansion, Hearts of Stone, was almost finished, ready to be released next month in October.
