Game Director for Heroes of the Storm, Dustin Browder, has confirmed that Blizzard wants to release a map maker for Heroes of the Storm.

With such little details, its unsure whether or not these maps will be available in Quick Match, although its safe to say they probably won’t be available in Ranked.
Blizzard is known for their map editors and easy to mod StarCraft and Warcraft games. DotA All-stars was one of the beginning foundations for the MOBA genre, following in the footsteps of StarCraft’s mod Aeon of Strife.
Defense of the Ancients(DotA) started back in 2003 for Warcraft III. The mod was available for both Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, and Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne.
IceFrog designed and created the original DotA, and has since moved on to work at Valve Corporation on Dota 2. IceFrog is known for bringing great balance to the realm of DotA.
