Since its delay and complete backlash, Mighty No. 9 development team Comcept has formally announced a proper 2016 release date for the game. According to the publisher Deep Silver, it is set to be released for consoles and PC on February 9th, 2016 for America and worldwide 3 days later on the 12th.

Mighty No. 9 and Keiji Inafune has been receiving huge levels of backlash for the way he’s dealt with Mighty No. 9 and Red Ash in the last few months. With Red Ash pushing for Kickstarter back in August and its surprise publishing deal to be released regardless and the delay that Mighty No. 9 had from its original September release due to bugged online features, it’s not a wonder why fans and backers have felt sour.

It surely didn’t help when Mighty No. 9’s promised demo as compensation was also delayed due to issues with distribution on Steam.

After a turbulent release so far, people are skeptical if this new release date will be kept. It’s not unjustified entirely for them to feel this way, especially with the people who played the demo and found it unsatisfactory. If you got the demo or gave it a go, how do you feel about Mighty No. 9? Let us know below!
