Life is Strange episode 5, ‘Polarized,’ is set to be released on October 20, Square Enix announced today.
The post noted that the final chapter in the episodic series is actually not completed at this time, as the studio behind the game typically only unveils the next chapter’s release date when episodes are finished. However, in honor of September 21 being the main character Max’s birthday, the studio revealed the date for the long-awaited conclusion to the title.
“Many things can change in the lead up to release but the team are working really hard to try and hit this date,” the post reads. “We know the wait may be a bit longer than some of you were hoping for but we want to ensure Episode 5 is the best it can be.”
The previous episode in the series was released at the end of July. Episodes originally began rolling out at the beginning of this year.
“We are super excited for you to play the finale and we hope you enjoy the ride!” the post continues. “We couldn’t have foreseen the great reaction Life is Strange has had so far, the community is fantastic and we love seeing/reading your reactions to each episode.”
