The first ever TwitchCon began this weekend, giving a big push to the video game streaming site. With it have been great events from keynote speeches, to meet and greets, to indie game appreciations, to much more. One announcement made during a keynote speeches may put a big grin on PlayStation fans’ faces.
While Xbox has had its own Twitch app since last year, it was revealed that a similar Twitch app would become available for those on PlayStation consoles. There is no set release date for this app, but it is tentatively slated for Fall 2015, which could mean any day now.
It is important to note that the new Twitch app will not just be for the PS4, but also for the PS3, PS Vita, and PlayStation TV. It is likely, however, that the others will be released some time after the PS4 version.
