Sports games really do come with some of the best glitches, or maybe this isn’t a glitch, maybe it’s an ingenious tactic.
The rules governing a penalty dictate goalkeepers can’t rush off the line before the spot kick is taken, whereas the penalty taker is able to stutter their run to increase the chance of scoring. It seems unfair to me, but Joe Hart may have come up with a way of sticking to the rules and level the playing field.
This is psychological warfare at its finest. A technique so ill-advised it’s hard to fathom why it would ever be attempted. A technique which would only be employed by either a madman or a genius.
