CD Projekt Red has released a new trailer for the imminent expansion for the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, titled Hearts of Stone.

The new trailer, released earlier this week, sets the stage for the big new expansion for the game, in which Geralt finds himself dealing with an immortal bandit leader, called Olgierd von Everec. Everec has been cursed with immortality, and enlists the help of the Witcher is relieving him of his affliction.

The quest line, which developer CD Projekt Red promises to be over 10 hours long, will take place mainly in both Oxenfurt and No Man’s Land, which players of the main game will be well acquainted with. The expansion is also set to bring in new monsters, a new romance option, and a plot that will be shaped by player choice.

The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone is also set to bring back a character only encountered briefly near the beginning of the main game. The mysterious “Man of Glass” will make a return in the expansion, and it will be him that hands out new quests and contracts to Geralt.

Hearts of Stone is also set to add a new “Runeworld” system to the game, that CD Projekt Red claims “significantly” affects the gameplay. “Each Runeworld will impact different aspects of in-game mechanics, allowing players to experiment with various strategies and tactics” the developer stated.

The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone is set to launch on October 13th worldwide for the PC, Playstation 4 and the Xbox One.
