Destiny’s Halloween event, Festival of the Lost, began today.

There are a few things going on. There are a few new things to buy at the Eververse Trading Company, the recently added in-game shop. There are three new emotes to purchase: Boo (300 Silver), Monster Dance (500 Silver), and Zombie Dance (700 Silver). The Zombie Dance is only available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

You can also buy a mystery bag called the Treasures of the Lost. You will receive one of these bags after taking on the new Halloween questline at the Tower. The bag comes with a random legendary mask, as well as a chance for various consumable items with different effects, such as providing extra Glimmer or speeding up weapon upgrades.

The Halloween questline has several parts. First, you will have to collect candy from various NPCs around the Tower. After, you will receive more quests, tasking you with doing things while wearing one of the new masks. This tasks you with a few different things, including taking part in public events, collecting engrams, and killing other players in the Crucible.

There are other things to see as well, including the redecorated Tower. You can also see the Postmaster, who will have a consumable item that changes your respawn animation. The Festival of the Lost is going on now, and will run through November 9th. Parts of the event will be available even if you have not upgraded to Destiny’s latest expansion, The Taken King. The festival-themed activities and most non-legendary items will not be available anymore after the event ends. A list of which items will no longer be available can be seen here.
