EA has just announced on its blog a free DLC for Battlefield Hardline entitled “Blackout.”
“What happens when the lights go out, and criminal and police factions are forced to face off under the slimmest sliver of light? Find out yourself,” EA said in the post.
Battlefield Hardline: Blackout is a night themed expansion that creates two “night” variations on the Bank Job and Backwoods maps and also hosts new guns, gadgets, and accessories.
There is no word yet on when the expansion will release, but EA said it will release in the same download as the base game update which should be “soon.” EA didn’t give information on what changes will come with the update, but a changelog will be available when the update goes live.
The full list of items that EA said will be in the DLC are:
- Two maps: Night Job and Night Woods (night versions of Bank Job and Backwoods)
- 1 new gadget: Night Vision Goggles
- 2 new weapons for all classes and factions: a new version of the RO933 and a new Battle Rifle
- New music, camos, assignments, patches, and more
Battlefield Hardline launched earlier this year and is on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
