Microsoft has announced a partnership with the Seattle Sounders of Major League Soccer. The partnership will be between upcoming Xbox One exclusive, Halo 5: Guardians, and the Sounders. During Sunday’s match at 6:30 PDT, against the LA Galaxy, the Seattle Sounders will be featuring some Halo 5: Guardians-branded jerseys.
Microsoft has announced this partnership as an extension to their already thriving partnership with the Seattle Sounders team. The Sounders are already sponsored by the Seattle-based Microsoft and have the Xbox logo branded on their jerseys. It evens goes as far as Microsft co-founder, Paul Allen, being one of the club’s owners.
This is the first time a team has changed jersey’s mid-season. 343 studios is extremely excited about this new opportunity and have stated that they are huge fans of the Sounders. Everything Sounders releated will be featuring the Halo 5 branding, including the warm-up uniforms.
Halo 5: Guardians launches on October 27th exclusively for the Xbox One. It will be interesting to see if this partnership has any effect on sales.
