Microsoft recently announced a partnership with YouTube for a launch event for Halo 5: Guardians. The event will start on October 26th and will countdown for the release of Halo 5 on October 27th.

The show, tabbed as Halo 5: Live, will stream live, exclusively on YouTube starting at 6 PM EDT on the 26th. The event will go for six straight hours until midnight of the 27th. The event will include appearances from celebrities like Nathan Fillion (who plays a part in Halo 5: Guardians), new gameplay footage, interviews with 343 Industries, and more.

Along with the broadcast, Microsoft stores will hold fan events that will be streaming the event, allow players to try the game early, and hand out a Halo poster with a $25 purchase. Check out the Facebook page for more details.

Also, events around the world will be taking place for the launch of Halo 5: Guardians. A player from Australia will be playing Halo 5 from a Helicopter that will be flying over Sydney. The gameplay will be broadcast on a screen suspended from a second helicopter.

Microsoft will be launching Master Chief and Agent Locke action figures to the edge of space for the “most epic Gamertag selfie”. Halo 5: Guardians launches on October 27th exclusively for the Xbox One.
