Nintendo announced earlier this year that it would be expanding into smart phone gaming, promising five games by 2017. The idea behind each game is currently unknown, although Nintendo has stated they will be new games, not ports.
Nintendo will be working with DeNA to bring its beloved franchises to the smart phone, whos promising the first Nintendo game by the end of the year. CEO of DeNA West, Shintaro Asako, has confirmed that they are still on track for a late 2015 release.
Dr. Serkan Toto recently took to Twitter to share that the announcement for the first Nintendo game will be coming soon. Although Toto did not give a specific date, it’d be hard to see Nintendo announcing anything past late November. Perhaps the timing will be just in line with 2015’s holiday season?
