In an early morning Blog post, Sony made the announcement that their console would be receiving a price drop of 50$, reducing the price from 399.99$ to 349.99$ USD, though Canadians will see a less significant price drop by way of a mere 30$ deduction, leaving the Canadian price at 429.99$ CAD.
This price drop does not apply exclusively to the main system, but to bundle purchases as well. Sony issued a complete listing via their blog, found here. The price drop will again put the PS4’s price in line Microsoft’s Xbox One, just in time for the approaching holiday season. The news saw a suspected leak through Target earlier in the week, but was made official today.
The price drop will go into effect tomorrow, October 9th, 2015.
