Woolfe – The Red Hood Diaries, a PC adventure game by now-bankrupt studio GRIN, has had it’s assets and IP purchased by Sniper Elite developer Rebellion.

Belgium-based studio GRIN went bankrupt back in August. It was at this point that the studio revealed that they would be unable to reward Kickstarter backers, as previously promised.

“It’s done, there is no way back. We tried, we failed,” said GRIN’s Wim Wouters.

Good news for backers, Rebellion has stated that it has plans to deliver “all outstanding physical rewards to backers as soon as possible.”

GRIN was able to release the first episode of The Red Hood Diaries before going bankrupt. It is still unclear if Rebellion wishes to take the series further.

Gamers can still purchase Woolfe – The Red Hood Diaries on Steam, but the owner is now listed as Rebellion.
